Worldwide, the emission standards for vehicles and the manufacturers are tightened. To meet the requirements, the manufacturers have primarily two set screws. Firstly, it is the weight reduction and on the other hand, the choice and optimization of the drive, respectively exhaust aftertreatment. ALUMAG^® will organize at the SAE 2011 in Detroit, the Theme Pavilion as “German Technology Center” Lightweight Engineering and Emission Reduction Technology. Why U.S.? From many conversations showed that European and U.S. American automobile manufacturers including Japan and Korea transplants in North America can not access the technology needed. Necessary to implement efficient engines and drive trains, as well as structural and functional lightweight integrated into the series.
