MANAGEMENT COVERAGES

Temporally substitution of Production Manager position on PWG Newman Aluminum, to produce aluminum rails for sunroof parts, reporting to CEO in Germany.

Responsible of:

  • Production planning considering machine capacities, people skills and raw material sources base on production targets to be achieved by keeping in view the sales forecasts.
  • Production control: is in fact concerned with successful implementation of production planning. It aims at completing production well in time and with lesser costs. A proper system of production control ensures continuous production, lesser work-in-progress, and minimization of wastages.
  • Automotive management standards: PPAP´s, SMED´s, Run and Rates for different new models, 
  • Quality control: Coordinate with production and quality people to get required quality of the product. controlling the negative variables which affect the ultimate quality of a product. To use of all the ways and means whereby quality standards could be maintained.
  • Method analysis: Determinate alternative methods for manufacturing the rails base on methods to be economical looking for minimizing the cost of production and improving productivity.
  • Inventory control: Keep proper control over the inventory. Determinate economic order size, maximum, minimum, average, and prevent danger levels of materials so that problems of overstocking and understocking do not arise,
  • Plant layout: Review proper arrangement for lay out changes according with new machines reception for new models considering; men, money, materials, and methods of production inside the factory. It was concerned with maximum and effective utilization of available resources at minimum operating costs.
  • Work measurement: Follow up of Production indicators and establishment of new ones per machine, operator and model, for productivity, metal recovery and cost to achieve objectives, and solve with the people any variation about it to get performance requested.
  • Other functions: Apart from the above-mentioned functions, coordination with Human Resources, Quality, Engineering, Administration as Safety Program, People Evaluations, training programs, personal rotation, meetings with customers

SCOPE:

A midium sized German aluminum extruder (In the following “the client”) requested the support of the ALUMAG® team to perform “Sales on Demand” service in Germany.

The main goal for ALUMAG® was to detect about 40 promising customers for the client, interested in a face to face meeting and / or invitation to RFQ. The ALUMAG® Aluminum Extrusion Customer Database was the basis for the clients acquisition round.

METHOD:

  • 250 potential customers were selected by the client from the ALUMAG® Aluminum Extrusion Customer Database.
  • A technical presentation was designed for the client.
  • The technical presentation was sent to 20 potential customers per day by e-mail.
  • Presentation follow up by phone.

ALUMAG® ACHIEVEMENTS:

ALUMAG® detected a total of 77 promising customers for the client. (The Initial target was 40 promising customers)

  • 12 enquiries was received
  • 8 meetings arranged (Including exhibition visits & meetings after successful quote)
  • 57 companies to consider the client for next RFQ loop.

SCOPE:

The customer entered the automotive business with the distribution of AdBlue / DEF in Europe. Since the customer did not have the automotive resources in-house on how to participate successfully in this industry, they retained ALUMAG® to help them design, manage and roll out the worldwide AdBlue / DEF infrastructure. ALUMAG®’s program and liaison management business unit is successfully coordinating and managing all day to day AdBlue / DEF activities throughout Europe, North America and Asia.
